Personal support, wherever you study

Finding suitable tutoring should not depend on living near our centre. Individual online sessions offer another way to access support when travel is difficult or your family lives further away.

Tell us the student’s year level, subjects, current challenges and preferred times. Each online session is individual, allowing the work to focus on that student’s questions and priorities. We will discuss suitable availability and joining arrangements before lessons begin.

Across Melbourne

Learn from home in Melbourne’s west, east, north or south. Choose online support when travelling to our centre does not suit your family.

Regional & rural Victoria

Access personalised support without a long trip. Enquire from your town or community and tell us the subjects and times you need.

One student. One tutor.

Online lessons are individual. Paired and small-group sessions remain available in person at our centre in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

Smart Tutoring Services is led by Andrew, a PhD candidate in physics with an academic background in biochemistry, physics and mathematics.

Lessons are supported by curriculum-aligned resources, practice questions, assessments and fully worked solutions. The focus is on understanding concepts and applying knowledge to schoolwork, tests, SACs and examinations.

Bring the topics or questions causing difficulty. The initial discussion helps us identify priorities and recommend an appropriate starting point.

Maths support tailored to their starting point

Maths students complete a 45-minute diagnostic test covering the content expected at their year level. We use the results to identify their strengths, gaps in understanding and the support they need, so tutoring can target the areas that will help them make the most progress.

This maths diagnostic is separate from the free 15-minute academic assessment conversation.
