Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to tutoring and related educational services provided by Smart Tutoring Services (ABN 52 797 098 357). By booking or attending a session, the student and, where the student is under 18, their parent or guardian agree to these terms.

1. Tutoring services

Smart Tutoring Services provides personalised English, Mathematics and Science tutoring from primary school through to VCE. Sessions may be individual, paired or small-group. In-person tutoring is provided in Sunshine North. Online tutoring is available for individual sessions.

2. Bookings and availability

All bookings are subject to tutor, subject and timetable availability. A place is confirmed when Smart Tutoring Services accepts the booking. Students should arrive on time with the materials and equipment required for their lesson.

3. Fees and payment

Current session and package prices are published on the Programs & Pricing page. Ten-session packages are paid upfront. Any agreed fees are payable by the due date communicated at booking. Smart Tutoring Services will not add registration, administration or resource fees unless a change is clearly disclosed and agreed before booking.

4. Cancellations and missed sessions

You must provide at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice and non-attendance may incur a fee equal to 50% of the scheduled session price. Full details are available in the Cancellation and No-Show Policy.

5. Student behavioural requirements

Students must behave respectfully toward tutors and other students and must not disrupt others' learning or safety. Smart Tutoring Services may pause or end a session where behaviour creates a safety concern or substantially prevents teaching.

6. Educational resources

Notes, assessments, worked solutions and other resources supplied by Smart Tutoring Services are for the enrolled student’s personal educational use. They must not be reproduced, sold, distributed or uploaded publicly without written permission.

7. Learning outcomes

Tutoring is designed to support understanding, confidence and academic progress. Results depend on factors including attendance, effort, practice and school requirements. Smart Tutoring Services does not guarantee a particular grade, study score or ATAR.

8. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Smart Tutoring Services Privacy Policy and is used to manage enquiries, bookings, tutoring and related communication.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Changes and contact
