Maths support from Prep to VCE
Primary students can strengthen number skills, mathematical reasoning and confidence with problem-solving. Years 7–10 students develop stronger foundations in algebra, graphs, measurement, geometry, probability and statistics while preparing for increasingly demanding secondary assessments.
VCE students can receive focused support in General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. Lessons combine concept development, worked examples, targeted practice, CAS support where relevant and preparation for SACs and examinations.

Understand their starting point with a maths diagnostic
Maths students complete a 45-minute diagnostic test covering the content expected at their year level. We use the results to identify their strengths, gaps in understanding and the support they need, so tutoring can target the areas that will help them make the most progress.
This maths diagnostic is separate from the free 15-minute academic assessment conversation.
Support built around the student
Mathematics becomes much more manageable when gaps are identified early and concepts are explained in a logical sequence. Lessons begin with the student’s current work and the points where their understanding breaks down. Teaching then rebuilds the necessary foundation before progressing to harder applications.
Students learn how to interpret a question, choose an efficient method, show working clearly, check an answer and recognise common errors. Carefully prepared notes, practice questions and fully worked solutions support progress between sessions.
